Boarding

Personal service for you and your dog is what we do! The Texas Dogfather Ranch was founded with the understanding that dogs and their families can have very differing needs when it comes to boarding accommodations. We will take the time to understand YOUR dog’s needs. Whether your dog is happy, anxious, shy, hyper-excited, destructive or not yet friendly with other dogs or people, we know how to provide the right mix of environment and activities to ensure they have the most fun as possible until mom and dad are back.

The Ranch! Located on three beautiful acres just two minutes from Old Town Katy, dogs may stay in the large cage-free suites located in the energetic bunkhouse or they can enjoy the seclusion and quiet of our spacious private cabins. Although we are considered a cage-free facility we know that many dogs love their crates. Each suite or cabin is large enough to accommodate a dog’s personal crate, bedding and toys with plenty of space left to roam and stretch out.

Peace of mind! You can travel guilt and worry free knowing that our owner lives on-site and personally knows each and every dog on our property. Rest easy knowing that all playtimes and activities are managed by a behaviorist to ensure every dog gets the most out of every day. Feel good that you’ll receive texts and videos showing your dogs latest exploits so you don’t have to wonder how he or she is doing. Relax knowing that any medications or special dietary needs are understood and safely and reliably managed.

The Play! We understand a dog’s natural rhythm of potty, play, snack and nap! In that order! So that’s what we do here at The Ranch. Boarding dogs go out as a group (matched by play style and temperament) to do their business and then enjoy supervised play in the day park, the play field or the agility course until they are tired and ready to stretch out. Then we go back to our cabin or suite for snacks and a good nap. Then we do it all over again. This routine of play and rest reduces the stress that sometimes comes with boarding and keeps dogs tired and happy until it’s time to go home. Play times start every day at 7:00am and the last potty break is about 10:00pm.
